Spring Time In The Rockies

After being shut out of our blog for weeks due to some glitch I find I can now access it once again. And what better way than to post two photos of wild Iris that grow in our meadows and bloom in the spring time. Some meadows have an abundance of them and are just a sea of purple. Then the Indian Paint Brush bloom and then the Columbine with a host of other varied wildflowers and colors. Springtime in the Sangre de Christo mountains is a unique and special time of the year as you can see by the following photos.
If you click on the photo's they will enlarge and you can almost smell these beautiful flowers.

These were taken at the bottom of our road.
