Three Hours From Tree To New Platform:

From log at 9:00 A.M. to 2 X 6's at 10:00 A.M. to brand new deck at Noon. There is nothing better than a wood mill for producing lumber for projects. The old platform had a few boards that had broken or rotted and rather than repair the old deck it was just easier to mill out new lumber, cut it to size and put it together in the form of a new platform. We have already tried it and it is solid as a rock and the bottom is coated in paraffin wax paint so it should not rot again.

Gotta love a wood mill which is why I look at dead trees I see lumber and not a dead tree.

If you run out of lumber material, you know you can have all you want from our lot…

Don: I don't have any more photo's but the mill is capable of putting out lumber up to 16.5 feet long and 6 inches either way. It will handle about 2000 board feet a day. It is the third mill that I have had and it is the most accurate of all of them plus it is portable so if I have a really large tree I can just take the mill to the tree not the other way around. It is accurate to almost precision. It has been one of the best investments I've made. It paid for itself in the first couple projects. Next time I set it up I will take more photo's and post them. Thanks for your comment and if you make one and it is a circular blade one like mine, you might want to consider looking at Bailey's who sell the blades and parts. With the right parts you could easily make one if you are inclined. Prospecting is fun and relaxing and hope you get lots of color...
