Winter In The Mountains

The above photo shows how beautiful it can be in the winter with fresh snow.
The above photo shows the corner of the garage and the contrast of trees and color left from autumn.
The above photo shows the stone wall on the side of the house with all the best efforts of winter displayed on it.
And this one is my favorite. Thankfully the birds have already vacated and headed South for the winter.

I too love the picture with the bird's house. It's too early to be winter yet. How depressing....snow already!

Not really depressing, Barbara. We are really glad for any moisture we get. We haven't even been able to have a cowboy breakfast but one time this summer because it has been so darned dry. Now we can have one!! Snow is our biggest source of moisture since it rarely rains here so we are thankful for every white snowflake..............:)+

Barbara: Sad to say that yesterday we received 3" of snow and today about 9". Seems like it should still be autumn but on the bright side it will all be over in May or June. Hard to believe it is only 77 days until Christmas. We have already been giving our snow shovels a good workout...

I'm jealous - I'm a midwestern snow-lover and currently living in an area that gets a tiny bit of snow each year and commences freaking out (Baltimore).

5 years until the Wisconsin Northwoods and actual snow.

Enjoy your gorgeous snow!
