Heard some excellent words today. My partner was video taping a copy of Crooked Arrows when I walked into the room. The old man on there was telling the "Joe Logan" character to be careful so that he doesn’t provide a feather in the arrow someone may use to shoot at him. I thought about this for quite awhile and realized how often some of us may do this because we feel we can trust everyone that we meet and often then reveal too much of our lives, who we are, what we do, what we believe, etc before we really realize whether these people we are speaking to can really be trusted. Some people we can, but then there are always others who take what we have shared with them, twist it and do use it to shoot at us to try to do us in. We all need to be careful that we are not providing the feather for an arrow of that kind.
