Criticism by Sakoieta

Never respond to the words of a critic. If there is a lesson in what has been said, learn it quickly but give yourself credit for knowing something as well. Fight the urge to fight. Don’t argue with people who want to argue just for arguing sake - it eventually rubs off on you. Know who you are, what you believe, maintain your integrity in all things and don’t worry about what other people think in regards to these. Be your own best friend and avoid trouble like poison. It is our way to maintain our integrity in the way we think and act so that others will always know who we are. By being honest and truthful at all times we can stand strong and the truth will speak for itself.

Good suggestion... It's gotten to the point on FB, when when I say something, and people want to argue about it -- particularly people I don't even know (friends of friends who decide to jump on me), I just delete the entire conversation -- POOF! End of problem. We have gotten so confrontational that it's become commonplace, not only to disagree with someone, but also to call names and insinuate the other guy is an idiot for his opinion -- whether they know ANYTHING about the situation or not. I guess we're not allowed to hold opinions anymore... the political correctness police with get after you.

I have had to do that too...delete a whole convo because of someone's not liking what I posted. Fortunately it was a "friend"...so I unfriended them. FB is supposed to be fun, at least for me!

Country Refuge: I'm glad you found our site and liked my friend Sakoieta's post. Sakoieta has been a very good friend whose wisdom and loyal friendship I have enjoyed for a long time. He is the bedrock of wisdom and good judgement that I rely on and am thankful that he posts comments on our blog. I'm glad his comment spoke to you also.
