Expect The Unexpected

 Expect the unexpected when living in the mountains. The temperature dropped to 7 degrees last night and the wind blew in gusts up to 20+ mph. With the 6" of fresh snow yesterday and last night it has re contoured the landscape. Above is drifting wind and below is more wind drift as the snow is relocated.  

 The three photos below are drifts that are pretty and were not present yesterday. I have not calculated the wind chill but it is clearly in the negative numbers.
