Anonymous In Colorado Springs, CO

Here is a photo for anonymous. This was taken of our past dog Ben who passed away in 2007. We have had a traditional hay ride for our friends and our dogs every year since 2000. The wagon is parked within 20 feet from where the hay was located which you called baiting elk. We have photos of each hay ride including the last one a few months ago.

We have taken our dogs on traditional hay rides for 11 years and they love it. We use the hay for as many weeks as we can and cover it with a tarp when not in use to protect it from the deer and elk and rain. The deer and elk still manage to pull the tarp off sometimes which is not baiting. Please be sure when you send the "elk baiting" photo that you send this one along with it to the DOW.

To our other readers, this is about the only exercise some potential trouble makers get by jumping to conclusions. You can generally tell who they are because they prefer to conceal their name under "anonymous" submissions. Anonymous should you want to try to stir up trouble in the future - save yourself the time, just go ahead and call the DOW and then I will learn of your identity through the DOW. No further trouble maker comments will be posted here.

Don't worry about it my Friend........gut-less wonders........Anybody that knows you, knows you would not shoot or mame a wild animal in any way shape or form........
I get a few of those jerks on my Blog once in a while..........I always say they remind me of the south end of a horse going north!!

Thanks Mike: We get them too. Some people don't apparently have anything to do but stir up trouble. We live in a community of stirrers. Some we get have nothing but cuss words in them, and you probably get your share of those too. I published this comment because it did not have cuss words. You are right, we love our four hove visitors.

WOW – I can’t believe how people try to cause trouble… Your elk are like our ducks and geese… They are never safer than when they are in your backyard…
