I posted a new blog yesterday on Mother Earth News regarding insulation. You can read it at:http://www.motherearthnews.com/the-happy-homesteader/insulation-pays-big-dividends.aspx
I try to mix up my topics so maybe they will help others. As I sit here watching it snow heavily outside it is 54 degrees in the house. Regretfully the wood stove went out during the night and it was 10 degrees outside. Even with that cold and wind outside it still retained its heat and only went down to 50 degrees inside. We are thankful for the insulation we have and that it works so well. The wood stove (main source of heat) heats the house about 4-5 degrees per hour, so late morning it should be a comfy 70 degrees inside.
