We have been working almost every day on hauling brush, cutting trees that were blown down last winter. This is the biggest and last tree that we need to deal with. We still have a couple loads of limbs to haul to the burn site and we will have caught up to where we were at last year.
Above is a photo taken years ago and we are wondering why we have not seen any bears this year and only one last year. It could be because in the summer residents in our area drive up and down our road looking for them which drives them to other areas. We have not even found one pile of bear skat this year. In years past they were regular visitors and would eat the wild grass right up next to the house. Not so much now. Sad...
