Friday Night Fights:

 

One of my memories when I was a young boy was listening to the Friday Night fights on our big Philco radio. It was especially fun when it was cold outside as  the radio sat right next to the floor vent from our coal stove.  I could sit there in heat that was rare in other places in our home - like my bedroom.  The announcers were really good back then as they would call each punch and I could see the fight in my mind. There were boxers like Firpo, Dempsey, Marciano, Lewis, and Tunney. When I think of how far the media has come it just boggles my mind.
