2nd Saturday in Florida

This has been a great week.  This is a picture of Jonathan getting ready to pitch last Saturday.  It was his last game of the season and his team won.  He did a great job!  He told me that since he won the prior game as well that I am his good luck charm!  That sure did make my day!

Here is Sasha's husband (Jonathan's Dad) Rick opening up his birthday gifts.  Bruce and I gave him a nice belt and a sleeveless t-shirt, both of which he needed badly.  Then up to have dinner at Rick's Mom's house with two of his 3 sisters and family.  Sasha had made Cincinnati Chili and as always it was great. Topped it off with Cherry Chip Cake and cherry icing and --- well, we shouldn't have had the ice cream too.  We were stuffed.

One of their friends was kind enough to lend us their car for this week so I was able to do some galavanting while Jonathan was at school and Sasha at work.  Jonathan and I went to see UP and it was a great movie.  It had some good life lessons in it---I always like that when they can work it into kids movies. Thursday night Sasha and I drove through a major rain storm to get down to Northland church for a meeting about becoming an on line missionary.  It is exciting!  I filled out the app and am now qualified.  I need to read the training manual on line first and then can start getting emails from those who have decided to follow Christ and are requesting followup.  I feel like this is a new exciting part of my life.  If this sounds interesting to you, check out www.gmoreachtheworld.com. I also met two new Northland FB friends, Sharon and Kate.

Friday was Jonathan's last day of school and Sasha was home from work so I drove over to the intersection of Rt. 50 and I-95 and met my college friend, Carol Cropper Obenshein. We found each other on Facebook and she drove down from Savannah and was on her way to visit another friend in Sebastian.  We met at Cracker Barrel and talked non-stop for 2 hours.  What a great thing, to see a friend that I haven't seen for 41 year!!!  YAY internet!  We may see her again tomorrow at the same place and after church.

Today Sasha and I went to an exercise class at her church and later on we will go to Northland for their Saturday evening service, then over to Rick's sisters for dinner.

So that is what I have been up to this week.  I will have more pictures to post next Saturday.

Bruce has been holding down the fort in Colorado---cool temps still and rain.  He and the dogs are doing fine.  We talk a couple times a week when I am here and also keep in touch via email.

Off I go.  Got places to go and people to see.  Have a great week!  :)+
