Things sure do change fast here in the mountains! Here are a few pictures of how it looks today as compared to last Saturday's blog. Bruce cleared off the picnic/cowboy breakfast area and made breakfast there yesterday, just for the two of us. It was a little chilly eating outside but it is more fun to do it that way!!! And it was delicious, as always. He has that down pat!
I took this picture looking off our deck to the north east. This is Mt. Maestas which is on the north side of La Veta Pass.
And here is Bruce, trying to get some of the hard packed snow off the driveway. The driveway is about 100 yards long and it is extremely treacherous walking!!! We have only been taking the dogs for a walk once a day because the road gets really muddy when the temp goes up. Muddy paws and worse, muddy bellies, are NO fun for anyone!
Due to the road conditions we haven't gone down the mountain but once this week. It is 10 miles to the paved road and it is just too "iffy" to set out! We don't mind though because we agree that "there's no place like home!".

Yep, no place like home is right!!! We like it especially well cause we can hoof on it and take it where ever we want to go....
