Winter has arrived and appears to plan to stay. Below is a photo taken a few minutes ago of the terminal end of a stream that comes up on our lot and runs down the mountain to a ditch and then along the ditch to this culvert. It then runs about another 20 yards and goes back into the ground. Except now it is not running at all and this is solid ice. The temperature has not been above freezing for two days even with the sun out brightly. High yesterday was 32 degrees and today was 30. It goes down to 14-15 degrees at night. If you click on the photo you will see that is solid ice.
