This is Tegan, a German Shepherd in Arkansas. Because of my involvement in rescued GSD we see stories from all over the country. This gal was rescued by a lady in Arkansas. She came into the shelter with a gun shot wound, her eye was shot out and her collar was embedded in her skin. With a lot of tender loving care she recovered only to develop an infection that the doctors couldn't get under control. Through a lot of love and tender care she recovered from that and is now a normal GSD. Well - normal if you consider having been through all that she loves every other living creature. The above two photo's show her loving a nutria and two baby ducks.
I believe that there are a lot of lessons to be learned from Tegan. Incidentally she is still available for adoption. Wouldn't you just love to spoil this beautiful girl for the rest of her days.
