Surprise Tonight

Pleasant surprise tonight with a herd of approximately 50+ elk in the back yard tonight. Lots of little babies included and even saw one still in spots. All appear to be very healthy looking and well nourished. Appeared that they wanted to bed down out back which they have done before, but doggies needed to go potty and they ran off when we let the dogs out. Dogs never barked at them, but they ran off anyway. Click on the photo to get a better view.

What a beautiful picture you got of these magnificent animals! I just love your animal photos! Wow, your dogs don't bark at them. Mine certainly would. I must have the most misbehaved dogs on the planet! No manners at all......well except for my house dog. Her daughters must have been switched at the "hospital!"

What majestic creatures! What an overwhelming sense of awe it must give you to be accepted in the presence of so many of God's gifts. (By the way, though this is not the link, I did enjoy your rainbow article -- different but same in that wonder was experienced!)

We really like the elk to come around and seeing them. They drop their elk candy all over and then when you take the dogs for a walk in the woods they find all these little drops of elk candy. Nice walk for the dogs but for us you have to be alert every second. Amazing how many of those drops of candy they can gobble up quickly.
