Finally another dirty job done. The distance from the ground to the top of the roof at the angle I have to work to clean the chimney is about 34' (best guess). That is a long way up to then have to turn around and face out toward open space at a steep angle. Not much of your boots end up on the ladder rung. Glad that dirty job is done for another year and we are now ready for wood burning season. Once a year is okay, but I wouldn't want to have to do this more than that. From my perch up there Carol looks pretty small down on the ground.
