Forgiveness By Sakoieta'
I was always being told to have pride in who I was and pride in what I do and stand for. But sometimes pride makes it hard for us to ask for forgiveness. Instead of saying we are sorry for a mistake and working toward restoration of the relationship, sometimes it is easier on our pride to pretend things did not happen and quickly change our behavior. Words are so important in love and forgiveness as well as body language. It is so good to hear them and see the person is being genuine when they speak them. Forgiveness is not to just make someone else feel better about us but also to help us think better in ourselves and have the right kind of pride in being a person who humbles themselves in asking for forgiveness. When we forgive we stop resenting them if our actions were indeed genuine. It often actually takes far longer for us to forgive ourselves than to forgive someone else or ask for forgiveness. But the sun will definitely shine brighter and the day will seem more beautiful when we do these things.
