Here in the mountains the nights are getting colder and the days very mild or cool. All the wild flowers have gone away except this single flower. It demonstrates toughness and perseverance. Out of many acres only one single wildflower remains and it is radiant albeit stubborn.
This was a wet summer and the wild roses have been covered in rose hips. When I went outside today I noticed that they were all gone except these three in the photo. The deer love them and they are loaded with nutrients so they come around at night and have a feast.
