Good question Gypsy..A few days ago Carol and I were down at our swing and a bear came up about 40 yards from us. He did not see us but we let him know we were there. He ambled up the mountain which is respectful. This was the orphan cub following the wildfire. He was about 1 year old then and hung around all summer and fall sometimes only feet from our property. He survived the winter and last year he was about 200# and this year he is close to 400#. He has always been respectful and considerate. We do not feed him and he has survived on his own. If you ask me I think most animals are far more respectful and considerate that most humans. Just my opinion.
