Oh, how fortunate you are being able to see so much wildlife. I envy you. I live in a very populated area situated between two mountains- Holston and Iron)in northeast Tennessee. On my birthday in April a mother bear came through my yard with her 5 cubs. They were very small, a few weeks old, I think. Scared by my little dogs she rushed them (4)up a tree and hustled off with one. She waited until dark to retrieve those high in the tree. A most wonderful gift to close my day. They were precious. The mother did leap on my toy poodle yet harmed it in no way.I thought that was a miracle!
