Who would have thought that on August 1, we would have to have a fire in the woodstove to warm it up inside. Over the past two days we have received almost 2" of rain and it has been accompanied with 43 degrees. No sign of warming up right away and it is cool inside.
This is the third time that I have put this fence up and down in the past 2 months and I have concluded that I will just leave it up. We can't recall in the past quarter of a century having a fire in the woodstove at this time of year. Normally we have the fan going to cool it off in the house. This last winter, spring and summer have not been anything like we have experienced before.
