I just took a walk to the other end of our property and there are upwards of 30 or more trees down from the windstorm. The first three photos show where we used to hang the swing but now it is a jumble of trees. One of the trees the swing was attached to was knocked over but the swing was not damaged. Some live trees were uprooted and those were big live trees. Hate to see live trees destroyed but the wind was brutal. Still working on the damage but it is not likely that we can get to the trees until next Spring.

We had over 65 trees come down in that storm. Most were live trees. I haven't counted the dead trees that died in the Spring Fire that blew down in the storm. I'm thinking we might leave some of them for wind block.
I'm thinking the same thing Kent. Erosion control too.
