Who says seniors can't have kid type fun. Our driveway is over 100 yards long and the recent snow make it just right for sledding. Got the old bob sleds out and away we went. Really pick up speed on the driveway and the berm on the other side of the road serves to dump us out. Great day for going down a bob sled run.

You two are inspirational! My husband and I have lived rurally for most of our lives doing homesteading with gardens, dairy goats, alpacas...you get the gist. Now that he is retired (finally last April at 75) we have no more large animals and found ourselves wondering if we should move away from our river to a more urban setting. So, I began searching for seniors who homestead...and found you two. The pics are lovely and I am grateful for your sharing a bit of your lives. Keep on truckin'.

Karen G. Watch our blog for notice of a new article I am sending in to Mother Earth News magazine in the next couple weeks. It is all about seniors homesteading. It may have some value to you in making your decision. We have thought about a less demanding lifestyle ourselves but with the country in turmoil and the uncertainty we are staying put right now.
