Back in 1990, when our builder starting working on the shell of our cabin, he put an old homemade woodstove inside the cabin to keep warm. When we came out to visit our place the next fall, we found out that it smoked like crazy so we put it outside.
Bruce discovered not long after that a "good idea" was to make a fire in it and cook breakfast outside...hence the cowboy breakfast. Today was the day! Temperature in the upper 20's and no wind.
Due to dry conditions Bruce didn't make his specialty at all last year but it sure was a feast this morning...spam, eggs over easy and his fried potatoes with spicy seasoning from Dinosaur Bar-Be-Que in Rochester, NY.
The only comment I can make is YUM and how thankful we are for "good ideas"!!
