Creosote Remover:

For those who heat with a wood stove know that one of the most dangerous parts of doing so is the buildup of creosote. We have been using these small sticks for over 25 years and each year when I clean our tall 24' chimney I end up with less than a half gallon of dry powder  creosote.

I had a chimney fire many years ago and it was a  scary thing. Even though we use these sticks and they work, we still keep a chimney fire stick handy that will snuff out a chimney fire in quick order.

We burn our wood stove from the end of September until the end of May; sometimes even longer like this year where we had a wood stove fire every month - including summer months. When I clean the wood stove I get more ash out of the wood stove than I do creosote from the chimney. It seems that this product does its job well.

I don't recommend products often but this product works for us. There could be varying factors depending on the type of firewood burned, how long it has been aged, and what else that may be burned in the stove. We burn one type of firewood and it has been properly aged so these sticks do seem to work well for us.
