Some Things Stay The Same:

 I believe that our terrain here is actually steeper than our cabin in Colorado. Not only that but we have as many or more rocks. The rocks are not as big as the Rockies but there are as many or more. Fortunately the fenced in yard is terraced so we and the dogs can walk on it easier. I have looked for a place to plant a garden but have yet to find a spot either level or with fewer rocks. 

If we are to plant a garden it will most likely have to be earth boxes on the deck. We do have bears here and have already been visited a couple times. I have not seen any chipmunks or ground squirrels so we won't have the critters to contend with when we do plant a garden. That will be a pleasant change.
