We had a very cool morning so I took our kindling /log splitter out with a hand maul and dug through our wood pile for some logs the right length. I failed to find enough so Carol cut 3 long down to the proper length and we turned them into kindling pieces about the thickness of a finger. This little gadget made in Australia and designed in New Zealand had all the fire starter pieces we will need for quite a while in an hour.
