My opinion only: I don't understand what is going on with all the investigations both with congress and the DOJ. They seem to be investigating all the alleged law breakers but nothing seems to be happening. The recent case where a group of protestors charge into a church where people are worshiping and disrupt the service seems to go against our constitution and law. They were protesting ICE agents in a church.
It was all caught on camera and seems pretty clear to me. It has been the same with other incidents that have been documented by video and audio. After we hear about the incident the authorities, whether they are DOJ or congress, announce they will 'investigate' and then the incident just drops from sight. It just falls into an empty pit and we hear no more.
There is a term in law that is as old as our laws are that is called a prima facia case. In short it simply means that the thing speaks for itself. Here we have incidents that are documented both visually and verbally and now they "investigate", and then we won't hear anything further. It has been a year now and all I have seen are many investigations.
Misappropriations, mortgage fraud, outright theft of money, breaking into vehicles, vandalization of vehicles, assaulting law enforcement officers, spouting sedition and a host of other illegal activity.
It seems to me that the church incident clearly speaks for itself. I wonder what is to investigate that isn't already clear. Why not arrest and charge those acting criminally right now. Or will this just die on the investigation vine too. I don't think the bad people are much scared of investigations or it doesn't seem so. It is not a deterrent and they just laugh at the process and go on with further criminal activities.
There won't be a more perfect case than the church one; they can arrest those responsible and still continue to investigate. This "investigate" is just making our upside down country even more so. We need accountability but more than that real action.
