Our Christmas

We have gotten some snow lately including Christmas day.  It was a good thing that we had planned to stay home as we couldn't have gone anywhere anyway!  It was a nice quiet day except for the howling wind and blizzard like conditions!  We finally got out today/Sunday to do some snow removal.  Why bother when it was drifting so badly?  This is the "cowboy breakfast" area!  It will be some time before we are able to do that again!

Bruce has definitely gotten a lot of use out of his trusty Kubota tractor. Here he is clearing over by the side of the house that we will have to access to put the new wind cap on when it gets here.  The one we have is "stuck" and getting to the top of an A-frame roof more than once a year is not a good thing. Yesterday with the bad wind the smoke came back into the house a number of times---smells bad and sure can't be good for our lungs.

And this is a "guess who?"  The dogs are looking at Bruce as if to say WE RECOGNIZE YOUR VOICE BUT IT CAN'T BE YOU!!! This is how Bruce got dressed up yesterday when it was 4 degrees.  The tractor had been plugged in overnight but still wouldn't start-----------so he came in and took off this garb!!

So this is how it has been at our place. We haven't been down the mountain since Dec. 20---the wind has been so bad that we were afraid if we went down the mountain, we wouldn't be able to get back home.  Maybe tomorrow...........

Even with all of this weather we are so thankful for the many blessings that God has placed upon us.  We did attend Christmas Eve service online and it was awesome.  God is so good. :)+
