March madness!!!!!!

So here is what happened to springtime around here.  The weather folks were saying 16-24 inches but we got around 8".  The snow was really fine stuff so it compacted down---meaning that it is heavy to shovel.  Now they are saying that we are to get more next week.  Guess this year March "came in like a lamb and is going out like a lion!!"......at least here in the mountains.

This first picture is right  near where Bruce was standing looking at the wood in last Sunday's blog.  The little platform that is snow covered is what he puts the extension ladder on when he goes up the very steep roof to clean the wood stove pipe.

Bruce brought our Adirondack chairs up and we were able to sit on them LAST WEEK!  Actually now that the deck and chairs have been cleaned off we could sit on them today as the sun is out and there is no wind, for a change.

You can see in the background that the road guy came and cleared the road---and that is our garage back there.  It is right near the road and at the right you can see the window that is in the upper part.  There is a door there too!  We use that for storage and also in a small area at the road end is where I have my carving bench and work area.  We do have a propane heater down there but it has gotten some expensive so I don't do any work down there when it is cold.

Here is the picnic area.  Bruce did cook a cowboy breakfast on Thursday but not today!!!

We are enjoying watching the real March Madness.  Of course our FSU was out in the beginning, then Syracuse fell last night but Michigan State pulled out a win. Bruce grew up in Lansing so we will be sure to continue to follow their progress which hopefully will be to the championship game.

So that is it for this week, folks.  Hope you all have had a great week---we have!

:)+
