July 25 already

Seems as though all the days are busy! This week was "put the new fencing up" week. We decided on using some 6' utility wire rather than the 5'. Maybe the deer and bear will stay out of the backyard!!! Bruce is so amazing to me....seems as though he can do anything that he sets his mind out to do.

Anyway, here he is staining one of the posts. The black barrel on the right side of the picture is where we put the woodstove ashes when we have a fire going.

Still working on the framing. The fence you see here is the old one.

And here is the finished fence! This is looking down the boardwalk to the gate that we use every day. The picnic area with the table and old woodstove are in the background.

This is the new back gate that will take us to the woodshed. What is nice about this is that we shovel out the fenced in area for the dogs anyway but for the past years, we have then had to shovel a path OUTSIDE the fence to get to the woodshed. Not so this winter!!! YAY!

And this is the 3rd side which looks out to the rest of the lot our house is on and our lot next to it.
We finished it up on Thursday which is also when we celebrated 26 years of marriage. We had planned to take the day off and hike to the top of the mountain but it had rained the night before and it would have been too slippery/dangerous. It was good to get the fence done!

I have been busy too with the on line missionary work --- lots busier than I would have thought but I am loving it!

Have a great week!
