Saturday

This has been a great week. Our temps are still pretty nice with 40's at night and 70's during the day. We love it!

Last Sunday we had friends over for cowboy breakfast. Bruce cooked on the woodstove outside---over easy eggs, his special potatoes and fried Spam. YUM!

Doris and DJ are here at their cabin. They have a home in TX too but love coming to the mountains during the summer---and sometimes in the winter for a couple of weeks as well. The best of both worlds!

Monday and Tuesday were the 10 year old All-Star games and Jonathan's team didn't do so well. He is an All Star in our book though! Here he is heading for the field........

Yesterday was "outside wood stove pipe cleaning" day. We got the ladder up there the day before which was nice. This is Bruce's FIRST trip up.......

Whew! All done up there. I stand at the bottom and pray---and take pictures. Then he cleaning the stove inside the house and ALL DONE for another year.

Today after I came home from a picnic we milled out 11 2 x 4's....so next blog I will have some pictures of Bruce milling them out. The plan is to put a new fence around the back yard---higher and more sturdy. The one we have now has been run over a number of times by bears that have found themselves inside the fence so it is time to re-do it.

Oh yeah, went into Alamosa to the dr. on Tuesday to have that broken toe xrayed and it is healing well so I am back to normal shoes---and I gave the boot the boot! YAY!
