Here is today, 18 degrees, a foot of fresh snow, wind and blowing snow.

Here was yesterday standing in the very same spot, cloudless sky, 52 degrees, not any snow on the ground, and getting our firewood in for next year.

In one photo holding my trusty splitting maul, in the other my reliable snow shovel. I would start to laugh but don't think I'd stop and they would be coming to get me with a nice jacket with long sleeves that tie in the back.

Okay, that may just have been the shortest summer on record. Glad we got our firewood in yesterday anyway... thud
