Dress Pants - Slightly Irregular

While I sit here trying to catch my breath from shoveling snow I will post another story on our blog site.

When I was just starting my career in Jacksonville having come right out of the military after 8 years, I was in need of dress slacks and civvies. Our office was right next door to May Cohens in downtown, so I went over on lunch hour to check out what was on sale. There was a rack of real nice looking dress slacks so I looked them over and found a very nice pair that fit me very well, looked good and I couldn't find a flaw in them. The price was right so I bought them.

I had worn them several times and did not notice anything irregular with them. Then one day we had all walked down to have lunch together at a downtown restaurant. I went to pay my bill and needed some change so reached into my pocket and my co-workers all looked at me funny. I wanted to know what was wrong and they told me I was bent way over to reach my pocket. I put my hand back in my pocket and sure enough my car keys were right at my knee. I had not realized that my pockets were probably a foot and a half deep and didn't realize why I had to twist and bend to reach the bottom of those deep pockets. Now I knew what was irregular but I continued to wear them until they wore out. Every time I did I would get razed by my fellow office workers.

Who ever knew the real meaning of having Deep Pockets was just to have enough sense to save money and buy irregular! :)

Ha, like your perspective. One day I will have to post my true story about the yellow sweater. It is really a hoot...
