another sign of Spring in our mountains/Carol

The red-winged blackbirds are back! We had a chance to enjoy the warm day (in the 50's) yesterday and while sitting on the deck, saw a fellow that looked much like this guy....coming in to snatch some seed. We haven't seen a robin yet which is the harbinger of Spring in the East...maybe it is the first sight of the red-winged blackbirds here in the mountains that tell us that Spring is here!
