Dangers Of Lying: By Sakoieta'

No one can be happy who has
been thrust outside the pale of
truth. And there are two ways
that one can be removed from
this realm: by lying, or by being
lied to.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Roman Philospher
3 BC - 65 AD

When we hear truth it is as sweet as the cleanest best tasting water we ever drank. Truth can very easily stand by itself forever. A lie in whatever form, is deceit and deceit is a major block to lasting relationships, to friendships, and to stable lives. Liars are lost in a world of their own making. We have seen lying glamorized in a world of make believe until the real world has difficulty telling the truth, even when there was no real need to lie. Even little white lies thought to be harmless are barriers, wrongs, that all stand in the way of honor and truth. The biggest lie of all is that lying in any way is harmless. Truth sees through the veil of a lie and all credibility is wiped out. We need to live truth, love truth, act in truthful ways, share truth and teach truth.

I like this saying, "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."

Thanks Chasity: I wish I would have thought of that when I put the heading by Seneca. Thanks for posting it...

Lies destroy trust and without trust, you can't have much of a relationship. Sadly, so few people have any sense of integrity these days.
