Integrity By Sakoieta'

The foundation stones for a balanced success
are honesty, character, intergrity, faith
love and loyalty.
Zig Ziglar

Integrity? Hmmm. It’s kind of similar to being pregnant. You either are or you aren’t. People either have integrity or they don’t. It doesn’t mean that everything a person does is right all the time or that they know everything there is to know about everything. If that was the case no one would have any integrity at all. I have always looked at integrity as are you an honest person who will not steal, will not lie, stand on the values you believe in and if those values are challenged you stand firm on them unless someone shows that they are values that need to be changed and can you accept that in a good spirit of peace, mutual respect and friendship. How you handle the mistakes you make as a person determines if you have integrity. Are you a person willing to admit your imperfections and admit to making mistakes and learning from them or denying that you made them and refusing to offer forgiveness as well as refusing to ask forgiveness for your own short fallings. I’ll work with people who maintain their integrity any day, because I have found in my life they are people I can trust with anything.

Love this post -- I try to be a person of integrity... Sometimes I fail, but I do try...

Posted by Robert,

Great words! Zig was my Sunday School teacher for about 20 years. He died just last year. Sue and I have been to his home many times.

Zig has always been one of my favorites and I treasure his books. It seemed appropriate to use one of his quotes to lead in to the profound wisdom of my friend Sakoieta.
