I often wonder why people who are in government positions and the heads of corporations refuse to add common sense into the equation when they attempt to try to work with our people. What part of "We are not a conquered people and we will do what is necessary to protect our homelands from environmental destruction, we will do what is necessary to protect our Indigenous cultures, languages, customs and societies", do they not understand. Common sense should tell them that when they try to interfere in inappropriate ways with our people, that there is a reciprocity that is going to occur. What Indigenous nation or any nation for that manner is going to let it’s civilization be destroyed by greedy, power hungry people to where they lose the ability to live as a unique civilization of people. Sheesh anyways!!!
