Yesterday as evidenced by the photo below we were in this very same spot cooking breakfast outside. This is today when it is 24 degrees and 30 - 40 mph wind. So far we have 6" of very heavy snow and very dense and wet. If we have learned one thing living in the mountains it is don't put off for tomorrow doing something because this can happen tomorrow.
Yesterday I was in shirt sleeves and cut up, split and stacked two aspen trees to get a start on our firewood for next winter. Today you can't even find the wood that was cut yesterday. Tomorrow and Tuesday it is suppose to get up to 50 degrees and rain which will melt off this snow.
Yesterday Carol and I walked down to the other end of the property and sat in our swing for a while. Not so much today....

Comment by Pat: It's already 80 degrees and sunny here on SGI, but you don't want to hear that... I'll be offline for a while... I' m going to go sit on the beach... I went for a walk on the beach at sunset last night, and there were a couple of pods of dolphins playing just off the shore... perfect. But we'd better enjoy today and tomorrow, because several days of rain move in on Tuesday, ending Saturday... the day we leave. But I have a whole Kindle full of books that need to be read. And you know what they say, "A bad day at the beach is better than a good day anywhere else..."
Enjoy your time at the beach Pat. My next few days will be on the working end of a snow shovel. I'll play mind games with myself and imagine I'm shoveling sand to make a sand castle.
Comment by Jane: Good grief! What a difference a day makes, huh…….:) thanks for sharing – I won’t tell you that we’re suffering with 75 degree temps here L blessings on you both and stay warm! Jane
