Survey Damage

As the sun comes up today it is a chance to survey the damage the late spring storm that dumped 15-16" of wet heavy snow on us yesterday. I noticed several trees across the road that had fallen and we have some aspen trees that the tops broke off. They will have to be removed and the trunk of the tree cut down. The snow is hard to walk on so we will have to wait until it melts down.

It is to wet and heavy to go through the chute of the snow thrower so we will just have to wait for the sun to do its work.  That is not unusual for these late storms. The sun will do its work and we will have less damage to our driveway if we just let the snow melt instead of trying to remove it. It will just be more work because the damaged trees will have to be mulched up. It is natures way of thinning out the weaker trees.

The pine and spruce trees can handle the extra weight as the limbs vend down and allow the snow to slide off when it get too heavy. It is good to stay out from under the trees as those clumps of snow can really hurt when they fall on you...
