Klaus:

 Klaus has been with us for a few months now and we have learned his attributes and idiosyncrasies. He is full of quality attributes and we have not found one negative thing about him. He is 85 lbs. of pure happiness, love, gentleman behavior and humor. I do not think there has been one day that he hasn't made us laugh. He plays well with Lucy and us. He has amazed us each and every day with his gentleness and fun loving personality. He is very laid back as the photo shows. 

We understand that black dogs are not often adopted. He was in the shelter for quite a while and he is a black dog. Fortunate for us so many potential adopters passed him by because of his color, size or what ever because he is the absolute perfect companion for Lucy and us. I think there is a lesson here and that is when people adopt they should spend enough time with a dog to glimpse the dogs personality. I suspect that many people passed this boy up and he is literally the perfect family member. We did not look at his color or size or breed we looked for his personality and it is outstanding. We are so thankful we adopted him. 

Klaus has the best home now that we can give him and he smiles a lot and shows every indication he loves it with us which is good since we love him to no end.
