It is sad that when we adopted two of our three dogs that they didn't know how to play with toys. The above photo is of Rex and he will go over to the numerous toys sniff and look at them and walk away. I tried to play with him and a squeaky ball and it was clear he didn't know or care to play with it. He was an outdoor dog before we adopted him and clearly didn't have any toys to play with. 

Klaus is the same way but on occasion we can get him to  play with a ball but he really doesn't know how and shows no interest in it. We will persist and hopefully teach them to play at least a little. It is sad that they don't know how to play with toys.
