Manufacturing:

 It used to be that items manufactured in China was lacking quality but I have noted over past several years that is no longer the case. Items I have purchased that were made in China have been good quality. While our governments posture back and forth and they try to work out relationships with each other the  quality of items I buy as a consumer seem to be pretty good quality.

While our government and the government of China consider each other enemies the people of both countries are probably very much the same. We care about those we love and work to give ourselves a better life. Carol has a good friend in China and they seem to get along just fine and I don't see much difference other than the control their government has over them.

As I watch the Olympics the participants from all countries seem to be getting along with each other and enjoying themselves and most of all having fun with each other. Therefore it seems to me if we put the governments aside people have more in common that not. Unfortunately we can't put governments aside so they will have to continue to push and pull in the power struggle as there is no real common ground - only compromise and peaceful co-existence. 

Back to my original thought - I think  products that we buy from China have improved greatly and I have found out purchases to be of good quality nowadays. Made in China no longer has the stigma that it once had.
