We decided to take some time today and visit a local recreation area called Fires Creek for a picnic. It was a very beautiful day, not too hot, slight breeze, and the creek was flowing well but not forceful. The water was gin clear and some people were actually in the creek to cool off. It was a nice park and wheel chair friendly.
We stopped at Subway on the way and got a veggie sandwich, two cookies and a bag of chips. With the sounds of the rushing water it was a very good day for a picnic.
